Is barre safe to do while pregnant?
Yes! Barre is the perfect exercise to practice while pregnant. Please consult your Dr. first
Barre is considered low-impact and very customizable to each individual's needs. Barre helps you build strength and stability, which help during and after labor.
* Please let your instructor know you are expecting so they can help modify and make sure you are working out safely.
What is the cancellation policy?
You can cancel a reservation up to 4 hours before class. For any classes cancelled or missed after the 4 hour mark, you will forfeit that class credit. If you are a monthly unlimited member, you will be charged a $10 fee. Exceptions will be made to our policy in emergency situations.
What time is the studio open?
As a private studio, we are only open during class hours. The studio will open 15 minute before scheduled classes.
What's the best way to contact the studio?
Because we are a private studio and only open during class hours- phone is not the best way to chat with us! We'd love to help assist you and answer all your questions so please reach out to us by email at: office@barrelifenh.com
What if I've never done Yoga before?
Our Yoga classes are beginner friendly! Progressions and regressions will be offered for All levels. Please notify our instructors of any injuries or physical conditions prior to class.
What Is Barre?
Our barre class is based on defining long, lean, dancer-like muscles. We target the bodies small muscle groups with isometric movements mostly focusing on the glutes, thighs and abdominal muscles. A mix between Ballet and Pilates, you will use your own body weight to tone, strengthen and stretch your body. Props are sometimes used and each class is specially designed and changes frequently to always keep your muscles guessing!
I've never taken a barre class before. Is it beginner friendly?
We welcome clients of all ages & levels! All of our barre classes offer modifications and challenges so that you can go at your own pace. Please notify our instructors of any injuries or physical conditions prior to class.
What Should I Bring To Class?
Barre Life provides mats and all of the equipment necessary for class. We offer bottled water for sale but prefer that our clients bring their own water bottles when possible!
What should I wear to class?
Wear whatever you are most comfortable in. Most people wear leggings & a tank top. We love bare-feet or barre socks. Shoes are not required in any of our classes but indoor sneakers are permitted for our Cardio Barre class.
Where should I park?
Parking is available on street or in the Victory Parking garage located on Vine Street. There is usually plenty of parking on Stark St. right off Elm. St at the corner of Ben & Jerry's.
Do you offer child care?
We do not offer on site child care. Unless otherwise specified, our classes are designed for adults. The one exception to this is for our new, baby-wearing moms. We do allow infants (up to 6 months) to be worn in a carrier during class if you are unable to find child care.
